Looking Around for SR22 Insurance, Part II
In the last post I talked about my devastation at finding myself in the world’s most unheard of position. Who would have ever thought that I - someone who was living on her own, working at an amazing job, and had her whole life ahead of her - would do something as stupid as driving drunk? And yet that is exactly what I did. The result, of course, was an arrest that was beyond humiliating and left me without a license for a period of time; suspended in due course. This period of my life was dark beyond measure and I had a lot of things that I needed to work out; but I will say that I learned a huge lesson and in a way I’m happy that it happened to me and, of course, even happier that no one got hurt.
When it was time to get my license back I was in the position of now having to find high risk auto insurance. Because I was now considered a high risk driver, I needed high risk insurance and I had to get my wits about me to find it. I had been wallowing for so long - too long; and now it was time to pull myself together and get the information that I needed to get back on the road legally. I set to work to find California high risk car insurance that would cover me effectively and that I could afford. This was a big one. Everyone knows that SR22 insurance - high risk auto insurance - is more expensive than traditional policies. But there was no way around it; I had to have high risk insurance so I needed to find a policy that would work for me in the short term. Looking around was easier than I thought. With the Internet available to me, I was able to explore the many options available to me for high risk auto insurance.
