One thing that I will always do is take responsibility for my actions; they may not always be the right actions but they are mine nonetheless and I own them. No one made me get behind the wheel of my car after I had been drinking - that was all me. So when I got pulled over and eventually arrested for driving under the influence, I had no one to blame but myself. At the time I was humiliated; later on I was only happy that I had gotten arrested before I managed to hurt anyone, including myself. I had my license suspended for a period of time and when it was time to get back on the road I was facing the addition of high risk auto insurance. Because I was now a high risk driver, I was required to carry SR22 insurance or high risk auto insurance at all times. This was something new to me and I wasn’t sure how to go about finding the right policy in terms of coverage. Plus, I knew that high risk auto insurance was more expensive than traditional insurance and that made me particularly nervous. How could I afford pricier insurance coverage when I was already struggling to pay for traditional insurance?
So I got online and I did my research. On the Internet I was able to find those California auto insurance companies in my area that even offered high risk auto insurance - and believe me, not all companies do offer this kind of coverage. From there I could explore the policies further to determine if they fit the bill for what I needed and then order a car insurance quote. California had many options went it came to high risk auto insurance; it was up to me to explore them all. More in the next post…

Car insurance is necessary for everyone; just one of those things that we all have to deal with as a part of our lives. There’s a lot of money going out every month when it comes to car insurance and sometimes that’s difficult to see past; but in the end, insurance protects us - from damage that we can cause and damage that can be caused by others. Looking for California high risk car insurance certainly may not be something that all of us have to do, but for those of us who have been labeled high risk drivers, it’s a necessity.
Becoming a high risk driver may come as the result of a number of traffic violations that cause someone to have their license suspended for a period of time. Once your license is reinstated you may be required to carry high risk auto insurance so that you - and others on the road - are thoroughly covered. Traditional car insurance can be pricey - we all know that; and high risk auto insurance can be even higher priced. After all, the insurance company is taking the risk of covering someone who has less than a stellar track record on the road and is, therefore, more likely to have an accident or be involved in some kind of vehicular incident. While the price may be higher than average, high risk auto insurance is worth every penny because it ensures that everyone is protected. Looking for a high risk auto insurance carrier, therefore, is important work.
To gather the most comprehensive information about high risk auto insurance, get online to do your research. Online, you can find the California auto insurance carriers that offer high risk policies and from there you can compare policy to policy to find the most coverage at the best price - all for your protection.

Let’s face it; not many people put car insurance and affordable in the same sentence. We all pretty much assume that in order to have an auto insurance policy of any kind we are going to be paying through the nose for said policy. So as it happens, I went into the search for high risk auto insurance resigned to the fact that I was going to be paying top dollar for the privilege of coverage during the time when I was considered to be high risk.
The reason that I was considered a high risk driver to begin with was not unlike other stories of those who were in my situation. I had one two many traffic violations - all of which I take full responsibility for - and I had my driver’s license suspended for a period of time. This was bad enough and certainly humiliating but I had no one to blame but myself and I was committed to doing the work necessary to have my license and my good reputation restored to me as quickly as possible. When I got my license back, however, I was faced with another reality; the fact that I would have to carry California high risk car insurance in order to legally be on the road. As a high risk driver, I was required to be covered as such and there were only so many insurance companies that offered high risk coverage. I had to find those companies that would cover me and then - within that group - identify those policies that offered the most comprehensive coverage for the most affordable policy price.
Finding high risk auto insurance took some work on my part - as much as it would to find a traditional California auto insurance policy. However, in the end, I was able to find the most comprehensive - and yes, affordable - policy for myself.

In the last post I talked about my recent move to California from the East Coast and about how I was finding it all a bit of an adjustment. Not only was I grappling with the emotional adjustment that comes with leaving the place you have lived for the entirety of your life, but I was overwhelmed by the administrative tasks at hand - those things that had to be done in order to “transfer” my life from one side of the country to the other. While I pretty much sailed through the more mundane acts of transferring bank accounts and finding healthcare, I was feeling overwhelmed and stressed by my need to find appropriate California high risk car insurance. I needed a traditional policy; but my son who was college-aged and just recently got his license returned to him after having it suspended was called upon to carry SR22 insurance - or high risk auto insurance - until such time as he was no longer considered a high risk driver.
The Internet was my saving grace when it came to finding the appropriate policy. I was able to search out those insurance companies that offered high risk auto insurance and even request a car insurance quote. California may have seemed overwhelming to me in terms of finding what I wanted, but the Internet put everything in perspective for me and allowed me to better search out what I needed.
More than anything, shopping online for California high risk auto insurance gave me the ability to compare apples to apples, so to speak. I could line up each insurance company and look at what they could offer me and at what price; that way I could always know that I was getting the best deal out there and that I was giving my son what he needed to get through this time in his life.

When I first moved to California, there was much adjustment necessary on my part. For one, I was coming from the East Coast and things were a lot different there in terms of lifestyle; I really loved the idea of living in this new state but I had some obstacles to clear as far as getting used to a completely new way of life. There were other - more “clerical” - issues to address as well. There was the business of moving which meant everything from finding a place to live and changing my address to getting a driver’s license in my new state and setting up a bank account. You take things for granted when you live in one place for most of your life and I have to admit that I was overwhelmed with all that I had to do to set up my life somewhere else. I didn’t even have a doctor!
Then there was the car insurance issue. I would have been fine with a traditional California auto insurance policy but there was my son to consider - who was not only in his early twenties (making him an insurance risk to begin with) but was just getting his license back after having it suspended. He now needed more than a traditional policy - he needed high risk auto insurance and finding a policy that suited us seemed a huge challenge for me.
I got right online where I had located much of what else I was in need of in my new home and went to task learning everything that I needed to learn about high risk auto insurance. If I was going to have to get such a policy for my son and pay the price for said policy while he was still in college I at least wanted to know that I was getting the right thing for us.
